Hangzhou International School (HIS) Hangzhou International School (HIS) HIS was founded in 2002 by the International Schools Foundation as a non-profit, independent, day school. ISF operates four international schools: two in Shanghai (SCIS), one in Hangzhou, and one in Cape Town (AISCT). Approximately 600students from over 45nationalities attend HIS in grades Nursery through Grade 12. HIS is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and is authorized to deliver the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). The school is also currently in candidate status to offer the Primary Years and Middle Years Programs (IB PYP and MYP). Over the years, HIS graduates have been accepted and enrolled in top universities worldwide. The school year offers robust after-school activities and sports programs available after school hours and additionally runs a 1-to-1 laptop initiative across Grades 4-12. HIS also has a dedicated and talented group of educators on its campus. They are a diverse team comprised of 15 nationalities, most of whom come from the USA, Canada, England, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa and China. Over 65% of the HIS teaching faculty carry postgraduate degrees in education.
